General Wine-making Process

Stainless steel separate parcel vinification, low slow temperature primary fermentation. Hand-riddled bottles, long maturation and a high proportion of reverse wines used for the NV.

Famous For

The brand’s association with the English royal family and their affinity to serve Pol Roger to guests at functions.  They also produce a higher proportion of vintage Champagne than nearly every other house (especially the larger ones) which is rare.

Interesting Fact

It’s rumored that Sir Winston Churchill was a frequent drinker of Pol Roger, drinking a pint per day early, disguised in a tankard so as not to appear feminine during his war days. Their cellar door street address was even renamed 1 Rue de Winston Churchill in his honor.
